What is Nppd?
NPPD is an abbreviated form of Nebraska Public Power District. It is the Nebraska's largest electric power utility with a large number of residential as well as commercial customers. The company has operations in 91 counties in the state. The Nebraska Public Power District administration comprises a 11-member board of directors. The company produces electricity through its 9 hydroelectric facilities, 9 diesel plants and 2 wind generation facilities.
NPPD was formed in January 1970. It was established as a result of merging of Three companies, Nebraska Public Power System, Platte Valley Public Power and Irrigation District and Consumers Public Power District. The customers have the facility to pay their electricity bills online and also manage their services through their online accounts.
