History
Hydro One was founded in 1999 after the company Ontario Hydro was re-organized into five successor companies. It was founded under the name of Ontario Hydro Services Company. On 1st of May 2000, Hydro Services Company was renamed to Hydro One. Between 1999 and 2001, Hydro One acquired 88 municipal utilities.
