Group Health Cooperative was founded on December 22, 1945 by Thomas G. Bevan, Ella Williams, Addison Shoudy and R.M Mitchell in Washington, United States. The company serves more than 15 counties in Washington and nearly 3 counties in North Idaho.
Organization Structure and Services
Group Health, a non-profit organization owned by 11 member Board of Trustees who are selected by other health plan members. It serve customers with more than 8500 community clinicians and approximately 40 hospitals for health care members. Its subsidiary Group Health Options Inc. serve employers of the organization with different health plans in Washington. Group Health Research Institute work on new technologies and provide information to cure breast cancer screening, chronic disease management,behavioral health and immunization.
