What is Royal Air Maroc?
Royal Air Maroc, commonly known as RAM, is the name of a Moroccan air Carrier that also serve as the national airline for the country. Its operations are owned and controlled by the Moroccan Government. The airline has a wide network of its offices and is pioneered in offering air transportation services to number of destinations across Morocco and Asia, Europe, Africa, North and South America. Apart from this, Royal Air Maroc also operates occasional Charter flights such as Hajj services.
Royal Air Maroc airline started their business operations in the year 1957. Initially, it was named the Compagnie Nationale de Transports Aériens. The airline was formed as a result of merger of the Compagnie Chérifienne de Transports Aériens Air Maroc and the Air Atlas. In June 1957, it changed its name to the Royal Air Maroc (RAM). The airline has its two subsidiaries which are named as 'RAM Cargo' and 'RAM Express' and is in the same business of air transportation services. The corporate office of the airline is situated in Casablanca-Anfa Airport, Casablanca. The airline offers flight services to 94 locations across the world through a fleet of 43 aircrafts as of December, 2013.
