The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority is commonly reffed as RIPTA. It is the largest provider of bus transportation services in Rhode Island state. It serves around 62 routes daily. There are major three hubs namely-Kennedy Plaza, Newport Gateway Center and Pawtucket Transportation Center. RIPTA operates a fleet of Orion, Gillig, Gillig BRT etc. The company provides four types of bus transportation services including transit bus, paratransit, demand responsive transport and rapid transit bus.
