Pensonic or the Pensonic Group is officially based in Malaysia with head office in Penang. The company was established by Dato Chew Weng Khak as Keat Radio & Electrical Company in 1965. Chew started business as a small shop to sale electrical products in Malaysia. Its first branch was opened in 1974. During 1982, Dato Chew adopted the Pensonic Sales & Service Sdn Bhd name for company and also introduced the Pensonic brand name to sale locally designed and manufactured electrical appliances. In 1994, the company was incorporated as Pensonic Holdings Berhad.
Pensonic is awarded by multi awards for the selling and designing of products. In 2007, it was awarded with the Brand Excellence Award 2007 by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. In 2009, it acquired The Best Electronic goods TVCS 2008 from Marketing Magazine. The company has a large sales and distribution network at domestic and international level.
