What is Palm Treo?
Palm Treo is a series of Smartphone devices, which is owned by Palm, Inc., a Hewlett-Packard company. The Palm Treo devices were originally manufactured by an American Personal Digital Assistant manufacturer, Handspring, and later its operations were purchased by Palm, Inc. The company has launched total nineteen models of the series. The latest model of the series is Palm Treo Pro, which has Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Edition OS, 2.0 MP camera, one touch Wi-Fi access, integrated GPS and other exciting features.
The Palm Treo devices were replaced by the Palm Pre smartphone which was introduced in June 2009. Initially, the company used Palm OS in the devices and later started equipping with Windows Mobile platform. With Palm Treo, the users can check the calendar while on call. The Treo devices are different from other smartphones as it contains many integrated features including its capability to send email messages, direct dial options and more. The Palm Treo made debut in 2002 with the Treo 90, which is equipped with Palm OS 4.1 and internal battery.
