What is Mulana Azad Education Foundation?
Maulana Azad Education Foundation is a non-profit, non-political, voluntary and social service organization established to provide education to the educationally backward sections of the Muslim community in India. It is located in Maulana Azad Campus, Chelmsford Road, New Delhi, India. It was established in the year 1989 on the birth Centenary celebrations of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. The Foundation is funded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India and the general body of Foundation consists of fifteen members. The schemes provided by the Maulana Azad Education Foundation include Grant-in-Aid for NGO’S, Maulana Azad Memorial Lecture and Awareness Program and Maulana Azad National Scholarship for Meritorious Girl students. The Library of the Maulana Azad Education Foundation is stocked with English, Hindi and Urdu books. The Ex-Officio President of the Foundation is the Honorable Minister of Minority Affairs.
