Logan International Airport is a public international airport which is owned by Massachusetts Port Authority. It is major hub for Penair and Cape Air. The airport is spread in an area of around 2,384 acres. Logan International Airport has six runways namely 4L/22R, 4R/22L, 9/27, 14/32, 15L/33R and 15R/33L. According to 2012 statistics, it had served more than 29,325,617 passengers. The airport was established on September 8, 1923 under the name Boston Airport and was renamed in 1943 as Logan International Airport. The name of the airport was dedicated to General Edward Lawrence Logan.
