Lewisville Lake is a water reservoir falls in the area of Texax, United States. Most of the area around the lake is encircled with forest and wetlands. This reservoir got expand in 1940s and 50s, and major reason to built this lake was to check the effect of flood. Apart from this, Lewisville lake is the major water source in the City of Texas. The lake has total catchment area of 325,700 acres, and Trinity River is the primary water source in the lake. Lewisville Lake has total surface area of 29,592 acres, and its maximum depth is 67 feet. The lake was built in 1948 to control flood that usually come in the region.
