McCarran International Airport has two public passenger terminals. Terminal one contains a total of 96 gates in four concourses and handles most flights. Second terminal was opened in 1991 as The
Charter International Terminal. The terminal was used for international as well as charter flights into Las Vegas. The terminal contains eight gates, from which four were for international flights, first class passengers and a VIP Lounge for full fare. But the second terminal was closed on 28th of June 2012. Third terminal was opened on 27th of June, 2012, that is used for international and domestic airlines.
