What is Iter?
International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor is an Experimental fusion reactor being constructed in Cadarache, France. ITER Aims at future production of electricity from fusion energy. Construction of the Iter facility started on October 24, 2007. The ITER partners at present are People’s Republic of China, India, Japan, Korea, the European Union, Russian Federation and United States of America. The main mission of ITER is to produce ten times more thermal energy from fusion heating and to demonstrate the feasibility of fusion power.
