Enbridge Missisauga is one of the offices of Enbride Inc. a Canadian Energy company engaged in the business of transportation and distribution of different type of energy related services like fuels used by the people of the country. Those fuels are crude oil, petroleum products, natural gas, and other liquids fuels. The company mainly known for the distribution of natural gas and is the largest company in natural gas distribution in Canada.
Enbridge was established in the year 1949 as Interprovincial Pipe Line Ltd. (IPL) just after the first discovery of oil in the country at Leduc, Alberta. Later in that same year the company constructed first their first oil Pipeline from Leduc to Regina in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. In the Next year after the construction of Leduc oil pipeline it extended that pipeline into the United States from Gretna in Manitoba to Superior in Wisconsin. Enbridge is one of the major pipeline operators in North America. The company does transportation of different type of energy products such as crude oil and natural gas through a large network of pipelines consisting of length of 46,670 kilometres throughout the United States and Canada.
Enbridge is having number of its subsidiaries namely Enbridge Pipelines Inc., Enbridge Technology Inc., Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc., Enbridge Energy Partners, LP through which distributes various types of energy services to the people living the United States and Canada. In the year 2002 the company invested a good amount in renewable energy holding a capacity of 1,800 MW of wind, solar and geothermal power. In the field of solar energy the company ranked at the top position. In addition to that the company is also in the business of power transmission where it does import and export of power from one part of the country to other.
