What is Doordarshan?
Doordarshan is the national television broadcaster of India that is owned and operated by Prasar Bharti, an autonomous body formed through the Act of Parliament. Doordarshan was launched on 15th of September 1959. In terms of studio and transmitter infrastructure, it is considered as India's major broadcasting organization. Doordarshan is presently broadcasting all their channels in different States and Union Territories of India.
