Chinook mall is an American based shopping mall that was established Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1960 by Cadillac Fairview. The shopping mall is consist of 250 stores of different brands, a bowling alley, Calgary public library, restaurants, expert towers and cinema theater and it covers an area 1,355,000 square feet. Apple store, Abercrombie and fitch, Harry Rosen, Guess, Coach, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Skechers, True Religion are the some branded stores located in the shopping mall. There are 16 auditorium in the mall consisting IMAX and ultra AVX screens and are designed using Egyptian theme. The food courts in the mall has the capacity of seating 900 people and offers more than 20 food vendors. KFC, Cultures, Manchu Wok, Dairy Queen, Edo Japan are some food stores located in the mall.
In the 1960 Southridge mall was established across the lane from Chinook mall. In 1974 Southridge mall was acquired by the Chinook mall and renamed as Chinook Ridge Shopping mall. In 1980 the cinema theater and food court stores are added into the Chinook mall. In 1990 Chinook spend $300 million for redesigning the shopping mall structure.
