What is California FTB?
California FTB is completely known as The California Franchise Tax Board is a government owed agency that was set up in the year 1879. California FTB has been started by the joint collaboration of the California State Controller, the director of the California Department of Finance, and the chair of the California Board of Equalization. The California FTB works under the California State and Consumer Services Agency.
The California FTB is responsible to collect the corporate income tax and personal income tax. California FTB collects tax from the residents of California from their all earning sources. On other hand, from the non-residents, it collects tax from only California based income. From last recent years, the California FTB has tax collection of $50 billion each year. From 1963 to 1979, the FTB Executive Officer of California FTB was Martin Huff, and Gerald H. Goldberg was from 1980 to 2005.
