What is Anti Corruption Bureau Mumbai?
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Maharashtra is a government agency established to eliminate the Evil of bribery and corruption from the society. It was established on November 26, 1957 under the Government of Maharashtra, Home Department. It is headquartered in Worli, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and has various offices throughout the state of Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Anti Corruption Bureau is headed by the Director General and functions under the administrative control of Government in the Home Department. The Bureau is responsible for large number of functions including to detect the cases of bribery and corruption, to inquire about the cases related to bribery, corruption, misuse or theft of government money by public servants and officials and criminal misconduct. The Bureau has jurisdiction over the state of Maharashtra and the Bureau is divided into five different units.
