Alpine is an Australian indie pop (a genre of alternative rock music) band. It was formed in 2009 and was originally known as Swiss. Alpine band members comprise of Phoebe Baker (vocals), Lou James (vocals, percussion), Christian O'Brien (guitar), Ryan Lamb (bass), Tim Royall (keyboards, guitar, percussion) and Phil Tucker (drums). The bands debut came in 2010 with EP Zurich. Alpine's debut album named A Is for Alpine was released in 2012 in Australia. The band was nominated for "Best Breakthrough Artist - Release" and "Best Video" (for "Hands") at the 2012 ARIA Music Awards and has been called a "Band to Watch" by Rolling Stone magazine in July 2013.
