What is alfred brendel?
Alfred Brendel is a pianist and poet of Austria. He was born on 5 January 1931 at Wiesenberg, Czech Republic and is also an author and artist. In 1951 he made his debut record Weihnachtsbaum. He has composed many sets of notable pianists and composers like Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Liszt, Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert. Alfred Brendel has also authored many books which include Musical Thoughts and Afterthoughts (1976), Music Sounded Out (1990), Cursing Bagels (2004) and One Finger Too Many (1998). He has been honored with many awards such as Honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Praemium Imperiale and Sonning Award.
