What is Acoustic Research?
Acoustic Research was an American multinational company pioneered in the manufacturing of high-end audio equipments. It is under the ownership of 'Voxx International' an American consumer electronics company and is presently a brand name. The company came into existence in the year 1952 by the efforts of two Men named Edgar Villchur and his student, Henry Kloss. Since its inception the company had made number of inventions of audio equipments one amongst them was its development of AR-3 series of speaker systems that make use of a unique design consisting of a 12-inch (305 mm) acoustic suspension woofer. The speakers have many advanced features at that time those include its compact size, wide dispersion, bass and cost. The company was taken over by Teledyne, Inc an American conglomerate that owned the business for the next 22 years. In 1989 the company was bought by Jensen Electronics and at last it was taken over by 'Voxx International'. The brand's product are sold out all over the world through distributors, dealers and electronics retailers. The product line of the company include a wide number of products ranging from woofers, loudspeakers, wireless speakers, headphones, home theaters and many others.
