BIOPOWER IN NIGERIA

I am based in London, but have observed with dismay the lack power in Nigeria, to me the over dependence of one source to generate power in Nigeria being gas is a big mistake. To cut a long story short Nigeria has more than enough raw materials to generate from biomass gas. All we need do is use the household and argicultural waste dumped in our towns and cities. I havehad detailed discussions with a company that as we speak generates 1. five megawats of power using 20, 000 ton of household waste a day. They are interested in working with our company, but there major concerns is the security oftheir equipment and policy frame work. I in my small way have tried to convince them that Nigeria is secure and the present Government is determined to bring changes to the system. There are willing to finance the problem if 1. They are sure that we will get a licence to operate. Beyond what i say to them i do not know the next thing to do about securing an IPPI LICENCE and a POWER PURCHASING AGREEMENT. Could you please use your good offices to advise me on what to doto get this project off the ground as our company is eager to invest in the Nigerianpowersector and return home. Thank you.
