The newspaper is published as one of the editions of another American daily newspaper named "San Jose Mercury News". The newspaper is owned and operated by a Colorado based private media company "MediaNews Group".
History
Oakland Tribune was started on 21st of February 1874 by the efforts of two individuals named George Staniford and Benet A. Dewes. The newspaper is published daily in broadsheet format and includes different pages for different news. The newspaper is a source of
Daily News and updates in various categories such as business, sports, lifestyle, marketplace, entertainment and others. The main copy of the newspaper comes with additional pages that vary on different days of the week. The newspaper's 1st edition was printed as "The Oakland Tribune' and the name "Oakland Tribune" was adopted in August 1891. In May 2007, the head office of the newspaper was shifted from Oakland Coliseum to Oakport Street.
