What is Intuit Contact?
Intuit is the USA based company providing the financial, accounting and tax return software solutions to the businesses and for personal use. Located in Mountain View, California, the company is listed on the Nasdaq and is the constituent of S&P 500. The company has the strength of over 8,000 employees. It offers various solutions related to personal finance, accounting, tax preparation under the brand names of Quicken, TurboTax, QuickBooks, Quickbooks Point, for Sale. Intuit was developed by Scott Cook, who saw the computers as the replacement of paper work in accounting. He was assisted by Tom Proulx, a Stanford based computer programmer to create a accounting software. They founded Intuit in 1983 at the small space available at Palo Alto based University Avenue. Its first software was Quicken, developed in BASIC language of Microsoft. It was available for Ibm PC and Apple II. Intuit met success through promotion, reviews and positive response by customers. By 1988, it was one of the best selling accounting softwares. In 1993, after adding more services to its financial management software, the company was incorporated. In the same year, it took over the Chipsoft company. Apart from Chipsoft, it has acquired several other software companies in 1990's such as Parsons Technology, GALT Technologies, Lacerte Software Corp, Management Reports International etc. The stiff competition offered by Microsoft forced the company to concentrate more on TurboTax and Quickbooks. In 2007, Intuit has been selected by Forbes as one of the top 100 best companies to work and most admired software companies.
