Hamilton Eye Institute is the part of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, a public university got establish in 1911. The university runs many medical programs through its different colleges and departments including Allied Health Science, Dentistry, Graduated Health Science, Medicine, Nursing, pharmacy etc. Most of its pediatric residency programs come under the affiliation of Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. The whole department is spread over an area of 60,000 square foot. Hamilton, who was professor and physician of department, and also made contribution of 6 million $ during its construction.
