Costco Nanaimo Phone Number, Contact Address, Customer Service

My housemate and I left a comment card last night after speaking with your Nanaimo customer service. I just wanted to send a brief note, as it was difficult to collect thoughts at the time. When we were checking out last night, my housemate, who is sadly mobility challenged and uses one of your power carts, was right next to me. I was asked by the cashier if I had a Costco card and if I would use it, and I said no (my housemate was purchasing the groceries, and used his Costco card, and credit card. He was right next to me - literally one step away, but would have had to stand and he had asked me to complete the transaction. I repeat, he was one step away from me. The cashier said it would be the last time it was allowed. I told her that was ridiculous, and she said she didn't want to start a fight with me. 1. I was mortified. I am a professional, and not used to that kind of treatment. Was it a threat? I cannot tell you how upset I was. 2. My housemate was embarrassed, and angry. He would prefer to not have to use a power cart. It underlined his physical issues. I understand you have rules, but shouldn't common sense prevail, when he was right there and asking me to do the transaction? I found your cashier to be rude and insulting. We did speak to customer service. Shame on Costco for making handicapped people feel embarrassed for their difficulties. We typically shop with you weekly. That was very poor treatment from your staff, who are usually friendly and helpful.
