The Chicago Public Library is the Chicago based library system which is comprised of 79 branches. It was founded in 1873. It houses collection of 5,721,334 volumes including books, CDs, DVDs, eBooks and downloadable media, online databases etc which makes it the 30th largest library in the nation. The library also provides its database to be used at the remote location with a Chicago Public Library card. The library branches are arranged into district wise. The library has state of the art infrastructure and facilities.
