What is Barrie Police Station?
Barrie Police Station is the police department that provides different types of policing services for the protection of people and property within the Canadian province of Ontario. It is the law enforcement agency that develops rules, regulations and procedures for the Safeguard of community under the supervision of Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Human Rights Code. The different types of services provided by the Barrie Police Station include Crime prevention, Law Enforcement, Assistance to victims of crime, Public order maintenance and emergency response. The Chief of Police is at the highest rank among the police officers. It is the 3rd police station within the Canadian province of Ontario after Kingston Police Force and Hamilton Police Force. The police department consists of corporate services, operational services and investigative services that further includes different operating units such as Community Services Unit, Court Services Unit, Property Unit, Training Unit, Communications Unit, K9 Unit, Traffic Unit, Criminal Intelligence Section, Forensic Identification Unit, Internet Child Exploitation Unit, Crimes Against Persons, Street Crime Drug Unit and many more. The police force consists of 218 police personnel and 94 civilians that provides services to different communities in Canada. Barrie Police Station has been established in 1853.
